In the UK, the album got 8 platinum, and in the US, it got triple platinum. Adele was given both the Rising Star Brit Award and the Best New Artist Grammy Award.

It won her five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, and four Brit Awards, including British Album of the Year. The lead single, “Hello,” was the first song in the US to sell over one million digital copies in less than a week after it came out. Her fourth studio album, 30, came out in 2021.
